Consumer Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will be processing and recording client payments and managing payment plans. Monitoring court dockets to ensure that deadlines are met. Managing and updating case management system and client communications. Preparation and filing bankruptcy petitions, various motions, and related documents for Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. Written and verbal communication with clients and third-parties. Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, court clerks, trustee office staff, and opposing parties, etc. Assisting attorneys in all aspects of bankruptcy practice as needed. Should have 5+ years of experience working on the consumer side. Detail-oriented, process-oriented, and have ability to effectively handle multiple tasks while working independently and taking initiative where appropriate. Familiar with motions practice, conversions, and plan modifications, etc. Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred. Prior experience with initial calls from prospective clients is required.
