Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide assistance and support for multiple attorneys by managing pre-trial litigation matters, researching applicable laws and regulations for assigned cases and preparing legal documents and/or exhibits for client meetings, depositions, mediations, trials and hearings, assisting with preparing and responding to written discovery, assisting with preparation and filing of statutory liens. Responsible for drafting, editing and organizing legal documents such as pleadings, complaints, discovery requests, liens, etc. Responsible for researching applicable laws and regulations for assigned cases. Responsible for timely client interaction via phone, email, facsimile, etc. ensuring a positive client experience. Responsible for managing, organizing and summarizing large volume document productions for complex litigation matters (in hard copy and electronic formats). Assist attorney(s) with preparing for meetings, depositions, mediations, trials, hearings. Retrieve records from other courts and/or jurisdictions as needed. Review records and prepare summary memos for attorney(s) as requested. Must have Paralegal certificate. Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should preferably have 3-5 years of industry related experience. Knowledge of litigation laws and practices is required. Knowledge of lien laws, particularly in construction context is needed. Proficient in Microsoft Office software is must. Current knowledge and experience with ShareFile, Eclipse and Relativity is essential. Ability to process, manage and organize large volumes of documents in electronic format is required.
