Litigation Paralegal Manager Duties: Direction and oversight of the Litigation Practice Groups paralegal program. Significantly effects the business operations of the Litigation Practice Groups and utilizes substantial discretion and independent judgment to ensure the firm's litigation paralegals are productive and profitable. In performing these tasks, plays the role of leader, mentor, advocate, supervisor, trainer, financial watchdog, evaluator, problem solver, and resource manager. Qualifications: Member of appropriate professional organizations (Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc., Broward County Chapter of Paralegal Association of Florida, Inc., National Association of Legal Assistants and Legal Assistant Management Association). 10+ years A? experience working as a litigation paralegal in a large law firm (from case development to initial pleadings through discovery, trial and post-trial practice), shall have formal and extensive training as a paralegal, shall have extensive e-discovery and knowledge of all rules and procedures relating to evidence handling, trial, mediation and arbitration experience, shall possess thorough knowledge of state and federal court systems and procedures and laws relating to admittance of evidence and trial practice, shall be certified ( CLA A?) as designated by the National Association of Legal Assistants; Shall have experience in all aspects of personnel and employee management and supervision, and must possess excellent communication, organizational, research and technical skills.
