Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of electronic discovery, including the ability to manage document reviews and productions, i.e., loading and coding documents, bates numbering, logging productions, and searching for documents in Relativity database. Attending hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trial, and handling logistics, exhibits, assisting in preparing witnesses and experts, and technology needs relating to same. Interacting with IT personnel and vendors regarding document and discovery issues. Filing and serving motions, briefs, exhibits, appendices, and other documents in state and federal courts. Setting up, organizing, and maintaining files and internal case databases. Organizing discovery, research, pleadings, and other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation. Preparing notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial. Bluebooking and cite checking. Preparing and coordinating service of subpoenas. Basic legal and internet research, including culling relevant information from a variety of resources. Calendaring and tracking case deadlines. The candidate must have BA/BS degree. Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal for a minimum of 3 years in an AmLaw 200 or higher ranked firm is necessary. Experience in trial preparation and as lead paralegal at multiple complex trials utilizing electronic evidence presentation software is essential. Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, and court rules and procedures is required. Excellent writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are needed. High level of competency with technology and legal software programs, including Relativity, e-filing in federal and state courts, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe is critical. High proficiency in technology evolutions, including willingness and motivation to increase applications of Artificial Intelligence in the firms litigation practice is must. Experience with Westlaw/LEXIS, cite-checking, proofreading, and bluebook proficiency is critical. Experience monitoring dockets and case deadlines is essential.
