Litigation Paralegal Duties: Timely process Home Equity files to obtain a court order allowing the file to be set for the first available foreclosure sale date. Review of loan documents and preparation of the Applications for Foreclosure, respective Motions, Notices, and Orders for review by the Attorney. E-File all Applications for Foreclosure, respective Motions, Notices, and Orders with the applicable District Clerk s office. Follow up with the District Courts to obtain a status on all motions, hearings and signed orders. Coordinate hearings with the Courts and attorney, including scheduling local counsel state-wide. Prepare required documentation and notices for the hearings. Obtain additional fee approval as needed. Work independently to determine Court requirements and local rules statewide. Communicate with Client regarding file status via email, phone, and system updated, including both internal and Client systems to ensure file status is accurately reflected. Set files for the next available sale date once the signed order is obtained from the Court. Research and review probate. Qualifications: 5+ years experience working in a real estate related environment. Litigation and/or probate experience a plus. Attention to detail and constant focus on accuracy and quality of work product. Ability to work in a high volume environment under strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills; ability to interact professionally and tactfully with co-workers and clients; ability to produce high quality written documents as required. Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong communication and customer service skills required.
