Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal The candidate provide support to a small team of attorneys specializing in intellectual property litigation matters including cases in federal and state courts, TTAB, PTAB, ITC, and AAA. Will draft, proofread, finalize, and file pleadings and other court filings. Assist with all stages of discovery including litigation holds, document collection, reviewing, and summarizing documents managing document databases, preparing privilege logs, and coordinating with vendors. Conduct legal and factual research. Analyze, summarize, and compile timelines and reports regarding findings. Create, organize, and maintain databases, privilege logs, and files containing discovery documents, physical evidence, summaries, deposition transcripts, etc. Perform daily case management tasks, such as verifying case deadlines, organizing key case materials, etc. Train litigation support staff and update training materials and internal docketing worksheets as needed. Oversee the litigation docketing and actively communicate deadlines to attorneys. The Candidate should preferably have Bachelors Degree. Should have 5+ years of Litigation experience within a law firm environment. Experience electronically filing court documents is required. Proficiency and understanding of all aspects of the litigation life cycle, including, but not limited to, pre-filing investigation, docketing, case correspondence, pleadings, discovery, depositions, expert discovery, claim construction, trial and appeal is desired. Familiarity with the US Patent and Trademark Office including Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings is plus. Proficiency in Litigation software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Relativity (or other hosted review platforms) and West law is asset.
