Litigation Paralegal Duties: Researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist attorneys by performing a variety of support duties. All duties and functions will be supervised by an attorney. Attend initial meeting with client (s). Collect, organize information and documentation from clients. Set up appointments with clients. Interview clients and prepare declarations. Provide regular updates to clients whose cases are active. Provide regular updates to clients whose cases are long term on a quarterly basis. Track the status of client filings. Maintain confidentially of client information. Prepare and compose motions and routine correspondence and act as a liaison to court personnel. Prepare, draft filings to relevant federal and state agencies. Complete indexes, and other supporting documents for court. Analyze case documents. Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas. Assist with factual and legal development for cases and related campaigns. Preparation of case and client for trials. 30-35 hours of billable hours on a weekly basis. Entering and updating information in our database and case management system. Provide other administrative support to attorneys. Prioritize cases. Meet set deadlines. Requirements: Bachelor s Degree or Paralegal Certification. 1 year experience. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a must. Problem solving/analysis, critical thinking, listening skills, thoroughness, teamwork orientation, communication proficiency, initiative, personal effectiveness/credibility, business acumen, presentation skills, technical capacity, organizational skills, strong writing skills.
