Litigation Paralegal The candidate must be highly organized and fully computer literate. Must be able to comply with law firm policies and procedures. Review and summarize claims/investigation files, discovery, medical/billing, employment, insurance, and tax records and identify providers for subpoenas/authorizations. Prepare medical/bill, medication and deposition summaries. Intake and organization of voluminous production documents received from clients and opposing parties. Prepare and respond to correspondences, legal documents, and pleadings such as Discovery Request and Motions. Prepare IME packages to experts. Conduct on-line searches including social media, background, and LexisNexis. Prepare cases for mediations and trials. Respond to daily emails and telephone calls in a timely fashion. Follow up on outstanding records pursuant to subpoenas/authorizations. Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines. Must be detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to retrieve key documents. Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Ability to interact with attorneys, secretaries, and other office staff in a professional manner. Proficiency with the Florida E-Portal and (CM/ECF) Federal Courts Filing System. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Aderant Total Office. Knowledge of Juris a PLUS. 3-5+ years of Insurance Defense Litigation experience is required. Certified Paralegal Degree.
