Corporate Legal Secretary The candidate will create and modify complex legal documents using MS Word. Will create and modify complex MS Excel spreadsheets. Provide cooperative, responsive and courteous service to co-workers, attorneys and external clients. Arrange, schedule, maintain and update attorney calendars. Maintain and update attorney contacts. Answer telephones and utilize judgment to proactively screen and direct telephone calls and client inquiries to appropriate parties. Assist in communicating with and responding appropriately to client requests. Assist with the opening of new client/matter files and preparing first draft engagement letters. Insert revisions into and format legal documents. Draft and type general correspondence. Process outgoing mail, to include preparing Fedex labels, scheduling messengers or other vendors for document pick-up. Review, sort and distribute incoming mail, as requested. Provide meeting support, to include scheduling conference rooms, arranging travel and coordinating any necessary equipment, supplies and refreshments. Greet and assist clients and other visitors to the office. Assist with client mailings, and perform mail merge for periodic group mailings and other initiatives. Assist with time entry and preparation of expense reports, each as requested. Support our firm s team concept by readily assisting with overflow work. Provide general administrative and secretarial support as requested by attorneys. Must be extremely skilled in MS Word and Excel, as well as Outlook. Should be able to manipulate very complex documents to create a high-quality professional product. Must be able to create complex linked spreadsheets, and to use macros for repetitive operations. Experience working as a legal secretary in a corporate law environment is a major plus.
