Litigation Practice Assistant/Legal Secretary The candidate will support partners and associates with legal and administrative tasks to include document management, opening and closing of files, calendaring, time entry/billing, travel arrangements, meeting/conference scheduling and other special projects. Will: Prepare, edit and format legal documents and correspondence from draft or dictated text. Assemble exhibits and hearing binders; prepare document productions; schedule depositions. Manage documents: upload documents to e-rooms and the DMS; scan, save to DMS and distribute matter-related hard copy correspondence, court and agency filings; maintain pleading and document indices when appropriate. Manage attorneys calendars, coordinate meetings, schedule conference rooms, and make travel arrangements as required. Assist with billing process to include entering attorney time, reviewing pro formas (initiate transfers), edit and finalize draft bills. Submit expense reports and check requests. Qualifications: 10+ years' supporting litigation attorneys in internal and external leadership roles at a law firm. Must be proficient with MS Office 2013, e-filing, time entry in billing software and expense reimbursement software. Thorough knowledge of litigation software products. Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be highly organized, self-starter and adapt quickly to changing environment/demands. Strong organization skills, be a self-starter, and have experience supporting a fast-paced litigation practice.
