Paralegal - Lender Litigation The candidate will learn multiple aspects of homeowner and small business representation such as property rights, foreclosure defense, mortgage borrower rights, debt collection defense, property law, and bankruptcy. You will work with various County, State, and Federal courts as well as draft a variety of discovery, motions, and pleadings. Coordinate with the Client/Case management team after intake. Draft simple and highly complex legal documents. e-File in dozens of Counties as well as Federal Courts. Work with the Firm's legal calendar and related Court scheduling. Record and store client information in web-based case management system. Should have 3+ years legal assistant/paralegal experience (ideally in debt collection defense, mortgage, or real estate law). Should be familiar with lending, consumer, or property law as related to debt, real estate, or bankruptcy. Must be familiar with litigation processes and types of legal documents filed in District & Federal courts. Experience working with a large caseload (75+ cases) is required. Experience with civil litigation is required. should have intermediate computers skills, (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, web).
