Litigation Paralegal at is a nationally recognized public interest law firm with offices in Washington, D.C. and California. We are seeking paralegal candidates for our Washington, DC office to join our team and help us fight against corporate fraud, whistleblowers exposing corruption, and others who are seeking justice against powerful interests in large, complex, and impactful cases all around the country. Position Overview Job Title: Litigation Paralegal Location: Washington, DC Pay Range: $24.50- $28.50/hour (commensurate with experience), with opportunities for time-and-a-half overtime pay Start Date: Early/mid-May (Undergraduate applicants earning their degrees in May will be considered for an early June start date) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour workdays Responsibilities Meet with attorneys to discuss assigned cases or projects. Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve electronic case files. Organize and file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures. Oversee all aspects of calendar maintenance, especially docketing of dates and deadlines. Coordinate discovery, including subpoenas, Bates-labeling, indexing, and maintaining e-discovery platforms. Assist attorneys with preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials. Perform fact investigations and conduct background research. Interface with prospective clients, co-counsel, class members, and vendors Develop and maintain billable hours and expense records. Perform other administrative and related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must-Haves: Bachelor's degree Hyper-organized and impeccable with deadlines.
