Foreign Patent Paralegal Responsibilities: Prepare, file, and manage global patent applications, both nationally and via the PCT. Draft original correspondence, within the ethical boundaries of a paralegal position, to foreign associates and clients. Docket review and management. Oversee assistants and other staff as needed to maintain accuracy of data and increase efficiency in producing high quality work product. Correspond directly with clients, attorneys, and foreign associates. Update office databases to ensure accurate information is maintained Participate in special projects as needs arise. Qualifications: Solid understanding acquired through experience of foreign patent lifecycles in multiple countries and regions. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Successfully work independently or collaborate with others as needs arise. High level of oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of firm personnel and clients. Demonstrate analytical ability and the ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Products. Strong spelling, punctuation, grammar, and proofreading skills. Experience e-filing PCT applications. Strong attention to detail and highly organized while working in a virtual environment. Excellent customer service. Willingness to be flexible while adhering to firm procedures and standards. Experience filing and prosecuting trademarks is a plus.
