Litigation Paralegal The candidate will draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, affidavits, case management plans, motions, and subpoenas. Draft estate paperwork for opening wrongful death estates. File documents in federal courts using PACER electronic filing system. File documents in state courts. Screen calls, e-mails, and letters to assess for representation. Maintain case files and case calendars. Review medical records and other discovery documents. Consult with clients and assist them with discovery. Witness interviewing and preparation. Carry out paralegal duties throughout litigation lifecycle, from inception through appeal with high degree of independence. Must possess a Bachelor's degree, a paralegal certificate /degree from an accredited college, and have 3+ years experience in a law firm setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, required and familiarity with WordPerfect is helpful.
