Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will manage all aspects of administrative practice, including legal and non-legal processes. Prepare and draft correspondence, memos, and legal documents according to legal staff and Firm requirements using word processing and document management systems. Prepare and process outgoing correspondence through mail or fax; arrange for specialized mail or courier services as required. Answer, provide assistance during, and appropriately direct telephone calls as needed. Manage scheduling of meetings, appointments, due dates, client-related activities, and case dates on electronic calendars. Coordinate travel, including travel and lodging arrangements, preparing schedules and itineraries, and confirming meeting space and logistics. Process expense reimbursements and disbursements. Proactively assist with projects, information requests, and administrative needs. Proofread documents to ensure appropriate formatting, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Manage the coordination of complex document preparation; ensure all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are intact. Review and edit client bills. The candidate should preferably have 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary. 3+ years of experience supporting litigation partners is preferred. College degree and experience related to the legal field is strongly preferred. Excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation is essential. Exceptional customer service skills in person, over the phone and via email are required. Should be computer proficient, intermediate or advanced experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with international investigations is a plus. Should have fluency in language other than English. Experience with E-filing in federal courts is preferred.
