Patent Legal Secretary The candidate responsibilities will include: proofreading letters, patent cover page and claims; maintaining and organizing USPTO/client correspondence; drafting and editing documents; handling time entry for assigned attorney(s) and/or paralegal(s); E-filing applications; preparing IDS (information disclosure statement); obtaining file histories of issued patents or published applications; calendaring, arranging meetings and travel, serving as attorneys liaison; assisting with various types of projects. Must have 5 years of Patent Prosecution experience and a high school degree. Should preferably have college degree and law firm experience. Prior experience with the electronic filing process, and be highly skilled with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel is required. Familiarity with document management software, such as iManage and/or FileSite, time entry programs, specifically Elite Webview or DTE is ideal. Knowledge of client relationship management software, particularly InterAction, is strongly desired.
