Proficiency with state and federal court rules and procedures required. Must have a solid understanding of technical legal terminology as well as court filings. Must be experienced with trial preparation and briefs. Must be proficient with federal court ECF filings, state court electronic filings, and government agency filings. Must be proficient with generating Tables of Authorities. Should have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills. Legal Secretary The candidate will edit, proofread, and redline documents and correspondence for accuracy, grammar, and formatting. Organize and maintain paper and electronic files in accordance with Firm records retention policies. Process the intake of new clients, create client files, search and print reports. Organize and maintain attorney contacts and calendars, including travel logistics and scheduling. Answer incoming telephone calls and document and relay messages. Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling, arranging video conferences, conference calls, and conference rooms, request equipment and food and beverage orders; prepare presentation materials; and welcome visitors. Prepare client bills and related forms and arrange for expense advancement, reimbursement, and invoice payments. Input, review, edit, and update attorney time entries and print reports. The candidate should preferably have a high school or equivalent. Should have 3 years of experience as a legal assistant. Should have 2 years of Calendar management experience. Should have familiarity with the law, legal procedures and protocols, and the court system, satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office, computer literacy and Proficiency in English, working knowledge of case management software, ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure, resilient work ethic, demonstrating an ability to resolve issues/problems independently, quickly learn and implement new skills, and have strong organizational skills.
