Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for performing legal secretarial duties requiring both sound judgment, organizational and good technical skills. These duties include preparing, and processing pleadings/briefs in the various state and federal courts, preparing and processing correspondence, calendaring, trial preparation, etc. The candidate should have at least 7+ years related experience. The skill level of this position places strong emphasis on accuracy, quality, and attention to detail. Must be able to take initiative and work independently. A strong knowledge base of legal procedures and court rules (federal and state) is desirable. Dynamic personality and excellent communication skills required. Proficient in Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Legal Solutions, and Outlook Calendaring. Excellent organizational and time management skills; excellent attendance and reliability a must, able to lift 20 lbs routinely. Excellent customer service/people skills, excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong initiative with the ability to be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment changing priorities and deadlines. Strong proficiency using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and have a minimum typing speed of 55 wpm and strong attention to detail.
