Title : Senior Real Estate Paralegal

Senior Real Estate Paralegal Duties : Will work day-to-day with all of attorneys and be primarily responsible for real estate due diligence for all of transactions, which primarily consist of complex project finance for commercial renewable energy projects. Reviewing and summarizing title reports, underlying title documents and surveys to determine feasibility of land for renewable energy development. Advising firm attorneys on the impact of and risks inherent in the reviewed title and survey matters. Working with renewable energy developers and other law firms to resolve issues and discrepancies, clear title exceptions, and obtain final title commitments, proformas and surveys for closings. Summarizing reviews of title work, exception documents and surveys with a focus on identifying and resolving title and survey issues. Preparing and reviewing draft real estate documents, including leases, easements, SNDAs, mortgage instruments, estoppels, and other legal contracts. Communicating comments and status to clients, other law firms and developers and keeping firm attorneys apprised of progress as issues and/or items are resolved, Tracking responses to action items and the evolution of transaction issues. Qualifications: The candidate should possess a Bachelors degree, paralegal certificate or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience. Should have 7 years of real estate transactional experience including title and survey. Corporate paralegal experience is a plus. Must have the knowledge of sophisticated law firm settings, including experience with Microsoft Office technology, document management systems and timekeeping software.
