Litigation Paralegal The candidate will drafting pleadings including Complaints and some motions. Gathering information and documents from clients and synthesize information for use in drafting complaints and discovery responses. Drafting discovery requests and substantive responses. Reviewing, analyzing and redact client documents for potential document production. Reviewing discovery responses for deficiencies and pertinent information and preparing drafts of meet and confer letters on those issues. Conducting legal research. Preparing public records requests and subpoenas. Assisting in management/ oversight of junior paralegal and administrative staff. Spanish or Chinese language ability. Experience working in landlord/tenant law. Demonstrated dedication to social justice causes. Must have 2 - 5 years of experience. Our dream candidate is a self starter, skilled writer, and has a demonstrated commitment to social justice. Must Has working knowledge of California Civil Procedure, and experience as a paralegal in California. Most of our cases are venued in San Francisco Superior Court so bonus points for candidates with a working knowledge of the Local Rules. With experience working with Clio or similar case management software
