Litigation Legal Secretary Duties: The candidate will be responsible for managing and storing and tracking large amounts of documents; preparing, organizing, and maintaining deposition materials and summaries; assisting with trial and mediation preparation; assisting with the creation and editing of various legal forms, correspondence, and documents. Must have advanced knowledge of court protocols and rules. Responsible for document preparation of a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and legal documents required by the attorneys. Calendar administration and use of Compulaw My View to monitor and manage litigation deadlines. Adept at handling a busy desk and working in a team model. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: The candidate should have experience with all aspects of State and Federal Civil litigation, including court rules, e-filing, trial prep, document management, and TOC/TOA creation. knowledge of State and Federal filing requirements. Proficient in MS Office, Acrobat, iManage, and commonly used legal applications. Ability to work under pressure and maintain flexibility regarding work assignments. Ability to work well with others, is collaborative, enjoys variety, and must thrive on the challenge of helping others to complete projects as a team. Excellent written and verbal communication with an attention to detail and the capacity to accurately edit work for spelling and grammar. Superb interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, attorneys (in-house and outside counsel), and other administrative professionals, with a commitment to superior client/attorney service. Must be able to handle both litigation and administrative tasks (travel arrangements, preparing monthly expense reports, assisting with time entry).
