H1: Senior Immigration Paralegal I BAL is looking for a Senior Immigration Paralegal I to join the team and provide an experience that makes a positive difference in people's lives. H2: Responsibilities of the Senior Immigration Paralegal I * Communicate with assignees and HR contacts, often serving as main point of contact * Provide guidance to assignees and HR contacts regarding proprietary systems and case processing * Thorough understanding of multiple communication procedures and requirements for assignees and HR contacts * Input client services rendered and send to Accounting for processing * Demonstrate mastery of multiple case types * Independently handle cases; teach and mentor others; coordinate flow of cases and oversee project * Serve as a team and practice group resource * Process a high volume of cases and work on cases of increasing complexity and variation * Evaluate problematic cases and proactive provides strategies and/or solutions to issues * Prepare forms, letters, documents and correspondence for attorney review * Leverage BAL expertise to partner with Knowledge Management in developing new materials * Manage status of all filed applications and petitions and finalize documents after attorney review * Utilize document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework * Prepare internal caseload reports for management * Share process flow with assignees * Perform research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, standard processing times, etc. * Initiate contact with government agencies to obtain necessary information * Provide the information people need to know to do their jobs and to feel good about being a member of the team * Establish clear directions, distribute the workload appropriately, and assign work in a well-planned and organized manner * Act as a mentor and for team members * Involve team members in achieving project goals and timelines * Provide orientation to new employees * Evaluate content and delivery methods for training programs H2: Qualifications for the Senior Immigration Paralegal I * Bachelor's degree + 1-year law-related experience under licensed attorney; or, PL certificate from ABA approved program * Typically at least 3+ years U.S. corporate immigration experience * Demonstrate mastery of Paralegal skills * Proven ability to handle a high volume of cases * Proven ability to become thoroughly proficient in handling complex, challenging, and VIP cases * Proven ability to manage corporate clients as it relates to area of specialization * Comprehensive knowledge of Team practice * Ability to quickly absorb, learn and become skilled at a variety of legal work * Able and willing to share knowledge with others and effectively communicate policies/procedures/protocols to all * Capable of highly independent work H2: Salary The salary for this Senior Immigration Paralegal I position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
