Corporate Paralegal The candidate will assist attorneys in filing documents with various governmental organizations. Provide attorneys with assistance in the preparation for and closing of various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and/or loan trading transactions. Oversee and perform post-closing document organization. Assist clients in maintaining and reconciling asset inventories. Maintain accurate records of transitions and statuses. Assist attorneys with drafting correspondences to clients and counterparties. Other duties as assigned. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and be a highly motivated and productive team player required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, PowerDocs, Microsoft Excel and Internet required. Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Science Degree required. The candidate will be working in the corporate Department with practice groups concentrating in complex financial transactions for sophisticated clients, including major investment banks, funds, and advisors, transactions including Mergers & Acquisitions, Distressed Bank Debt, Restructurings and Workouts, Bankruptcy, and Securities and Regulatory Compliance. This position requires strong details and multi-tasking skills. Simultaneous management of multiple projects for different corporate attorneys required. Extensive client contact required. Coordinate transaction closings required.
