Title : Litigation Paralegal

Litigation Paralegal Duties: Provide paralegal support to attorneys through all phases of government litigation in areas such as: tax assessment defense, SCC matters, zoning and land use. Drafting and document management. Monitor service and docket schedules. Answer interrogatories. Issue subpoenas. Manage and organize document intensive cases; Legal and jury research. Assist with gathering and organizing exhibits. Trial preparation and trial support in multi-day/multi-week trials. Requirements: College degree and/or paralegal certificate with 3+ years of paralegal experience in litigation or aspirations to gain experience prior to attending law school. Ability to identify, analyze and understand issues in case and proactively assist attorneys. Self-starter with ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task and reprioritize to accommodate urgent requests. Ability to manage significant documents, search database programs and assist with organizing, summarizing and/or categorizing documents. Exceptional work quality and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and trial practice software. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with attorneys, staff, clients and external parties. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all Firm and client matters. Proven behavior that displays reliability and professionalism. Ability to lift and move file boxes containing documents and trial materials. Flexibility to work overtime and travel to attend trial as necessary.
