Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for working with attorneys in all phases of litigation up to and including trial and appeal. Provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, document review, and production, reviewing draft papers, and trial support. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments. Review draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Trial preparation, including preparing witness books, voir dire and jury selection, and witness preparation. Provide assistance with case settlements. The candidate must have a Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification and/or proven working experience as a Litigation Paralegal; proven working relevant experience; apply knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, case citation, court rules and procedures, practices, and others; highly organized with ability to juggle and meet multiple deadlines; strong communication skills along with attention to detail; extensive computer and database expertise.
