Litigation - Medical Malpractice Paralegal The candidate will be representing plaintiffs in various complex matters. Will be drafting pleadings and discovery requests/responses, organizing legal files, corresponding with clerks of the court, process servers. Conducting research, proofreading, screening potential client calls. The candidate should have an Associate s degree or equivalent and 3-4 years of civil litigation experience. Certified Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Must have experience in working with attorneys, support staff on medical and professional malpractice; nursing home negligence, motor vehicle accidents and other areas of personal injury litigation. Must have extensive knowledge of: medical terminology; HIPAA and medical releases. Experience in initial case screening/intake, corresponding with clients; managing docket of deadlines and case priorities; calendar management is essential. Must be proficient with a document management system, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Spanish fluency is a plus.
