Litigation Paralegal Candidate will directly handle assigned personal injury cases from intake through trial, maintaining the highest level of legal representation for clients. Primary duties will include: Assisting and handling all cases in litigation: Drafting and filing complaints and related paperwork, All aspects of discovery, Maintaining litigation calendar and scheduling, Assisting with arbitration, mediation and trial preparation, Writing and preparing settlement demands for Insurance Carriers. May require other tasks to assist other team members on an as needed basis with: Case management overflow, New Client Intake overflow, Other office tasks. Candidates must possess: 5+ years of North Carolina State plaintiff personal injury litigation experience. Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to think on feet. Demonstrated substantive and procedural knowledge of plaintiff personal injury practice. Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis. 2-4 year paralegal certificate or experience equivalent. A high degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion. Ability to resolve conflicts and empathize with clients is critical. High level organization and time management skills. Ability to accomplish results and meet goals. Self-management skills and the ability to hit the ground running. Must also have excellent verbal communication and writing skills, strong attention to detail and ability to interact with clients and be a team player. requires maintaining reporting procedures (i.e. file reviews, diary control) and job statistic metrics.
