Immigration Paralegal - Humanitarian The Matian Firm, APC The Matian Firm, APC is looking for a qualified paralegal to join our Humanitarian department. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the U-Visa process and possess excellent customer service and case management skills. This paralegal will be responsible for analyzing police reports, preparing U-Visa certifications and immigration applications, communicating with clients and law enforcement agencies, maintaining case records, and ensuring clients are kept informed of the progress of their cases. Immigration Paralegal - Humanitarian at The Matian Firm, APC The Matian Firm, APC is looking for a paralegal to join our Humanitarian department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and case management skills, and have knowledge of the U-Visa process. This paralegal will be responsible for assisting in the management of client relationships and case review, analysis, preparation and filing of U-Visas. Responsibilities: Analyze police reports and prepare U-Visa certifications for filing with the appropriate law enforcement agency. Compile case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency. Communicate with clients and law enforcement agencies regarding procedures and case status. Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems. Make regular updates to our case management system including client information, case tracking information, and client communications. Maintain electronic copy files and documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients. Ensure that clients are kept informed on the progress of their cases. Complete assignments and communicate case status to the Legal Supervisor. Qualifications: 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Previous experience with U-Visa. Experience with Case Management Software, such as Clio and Airtable.
