Litigation Paralegal Duties: Professionally interact with clients, court personnel, witnesses, opposing counsel, and vendors. Calendar and track all discovery and other deadlines. Confer with clients and prepare discovery responses/requests. Draft routine pleadings and correspondence. Coordinate depositions and mediations Order and track all medical and billing records Analysis of expert qualifications and communication of issues with expert investigation. Manage and coordinate records for review by retained experts. Research, analyze, and prepare summaries of medical and billing records Prepare trial notebooks and assist with preparation of pre-trial documents and trial exhibits.
Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience in insurance defense. Knowledge of civil procedure and E-Filing process in both State and Federal courts. Bilingual in English/Spanish required. Ability to maintain monthly billing requirements. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Strong time management and organizational skills Above average computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, Dropbox, PACER/ECF, and billing software/procedures.
