Construction Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide support for document intensive litigation matters, including trial preparation activities. Will review, analyze, organize, and summarize key documentation, with an emphasis on construction project documentation. Manage and organize large volumes of hard copy and electronic documents. Prepare documents as requested. Litigation and calendar tracking. Maintain and track discovery, updated/new records, and correspondence files. Maintain up-to-date case files in an organized manner. Request and maintain records, including indexing and filing case materials, and conduct follow-up as needed.
The candidate should have Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program and Bachelor's degree. Must have 2+ years of litigation experience. Construction project experience strongly preferred. Strong computer proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint) and various legal software applications (including Relativity); and, experience working with a document management system needed. Knowledge of and experience with working with metadata and ESI is essential. Experience in public works and/or education law experience a plus. Experience in preparing for and going to trial an asset.
