Litigation Paralegal The candidate will work with attorneys and clients to plan and manage discovery, in all phases from preliminary review and production by the client to analysis and production of documents. Review, organize, analyze, and manage all paper documents, electronic evidence, court filings, and internal work product for litigation matters. Review and categorize documents, prepare discovery responses, obtain records from clients and health care facilities, and coordinate attorney schedules. Use document management systems and other technology solutions for gathering, storing, and managing litigation information and documents. Manage document productions and creation of privilege logs. Responsible for the coordination of all details before, during, and after trial, including trial technology and the use of any outsourced vendors. Prepare witness files, abstracts of transcripts, and/or exhibits for briefs, depositions, trials, and other hearings. Provide support as needed for trials and hearings. Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, and expert witnesses. Conduct legal research and initial case assessment. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other document requests/production. Subpoena, receive, organize, and summarize medical records. Perform administrative duties as needed (such as calendar management for hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, managing logistics, etc.). Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. The candidate must have proven working experience as a litigation paralegal. Have applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation, documentation, court rules and procedures, practice, etc. Be highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Have strong writing and communication skills. Have extensive computer and database expertise. Be proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Have a paralegal associate's degree or other relevant certification.
