Finance & Real Estate Paralegal Duties: Assists with the drafting and review of special tax district documents, financial statements, deeds and other property documents for recording. Reviews legal bankruptcy documentations in preparation for hearings and depositions. Monitors compliance with deadlines for filing of required periodic reports with court and trustee. Assists attorneys in researching, drafting, and revision of bond issue documents. Prepares and executes court filings including filing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statements. Supports attorneys in closing transactions, such as preparing checklists and collecting and organizing supporting documentation. Serves as a key point of contact for clients and interprets data for clients. Conducts legal research in order to prepare depositions, hearings and legal arrangements. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in paralegal studies preferred. Paralegal certificate or degree. 2 years in legal industry or equivalent transferrable skills from industries such as insurance, government, regulatory/compliance administration; skilled in Microsoft Office, 3-5 years as a paralegal in the Finance and Banking industries preferred.
