Litigation Paralegal The candidate's responsibilities will include litigation case management, preparing filings and documents, page line deposition summaries, medical records summaries, trial preparation, and legal research. Performs any and all other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the department, office, and firm. Must have 5+ years of substantive Insurance Defense/General Liability (GL) litigation experience. Paralegal certificate or degree required. Must have a comprehensive understanding of federal practice, including class action practice and multi-district litigation (MDL). Should be experienced, well-organized, and independent. Must have comprehensive knowledge of all facets of trial: case management, document review, and trial experience. Federal and state court experience is a must. Should have proficiency in e-discovery and litigation support tools such as Relativity. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and have excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must have excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to think critically and analytically in a fast-paced environment. The ability to multi-task and to manage time effectively is required. Must have strong experience with subpoenas, reviewing medical records, and research.
