Legal Assistant / Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Manage client files including a complete set of the correspondence, memos, pleadings, and client documents, and help monitor deadlines by double-checking dates calculated by the docketing staff and maintaining calendars of key dates. Litigation Support - Assemble and organize exhibits and supporting documents as well as electronically file documents with the court and serve on all parties. Document Preparation - Transcribe and draft various documents, forms, dictations, correspondence, memoranda, project work, U.S. Patent and Trademark office documents, and court documents in the daily production of legal documents. Will train for patent and trademark matters. Prepare reports, binders, tables and Excel and PowerPoint documents as requested for attorneys, paralegals, and clients. Process new client/matters forms and perform conflict checks. Provide back-up support to team, department and floor for coverage and project assistance as needed. Qualifications: 3-5 years of Legal Assistant/Secretary Litigation experience. Prior experience working in an office. Desired Skills and Experience: Familiarity with preparing, editing, and filing/serving common litigation documents including complaints, motions, and discovery requests/responses. Must work well in a team environment and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs; MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PACER, and Court rules. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and superior organizational abilities, solid communication skills, creativity, and initiative.
