Paralegal Assistant (Claims/Litigation) Duties: offer support to the Paralegals and Attorneys, and allow for them to be effective in their perspective roles. Mailing correspondence from the firm to new clients. Requesting bills and records from medical providers and healthcare facilities. Scanning and saving incoming mail. Confirming balances on clients accounts. Requesting checks to pay invoices. Setting up claims with insurance companies. Filing documents in clients folders. Closing files. Scheduling. Requesting copies of documents from opposing counsel. Speaking with insurance company adjusters to collect information. Mailing out Demand Packages. Drafting various documents.
Qualifications: Previous experience in the legal field is awesome. Understanding of the entire process from start to finish. Strong attention to detail. Taking initiative. The ability to prioritize. Being organized. Willingness to take on more responsibilities.
