Business Litigation Paralegal at Law Firm Law Firm is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to join their Chicago office. The ideal candidate should possess 3+ years of experience in trial related matters, including personal injury and complex commercial matters. This position requires the ability to prioritize and balance a variety of tasks, as well as a willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary. Responsibilities: * Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation * Prepare and file (including e-filing) legal documents in state and federal court * Lead subpoena and third party records retrieval efforts * Manage case files (create, organize, track, and maintain files; monitor calendars and deadlines; document actions; input information into file database and case management software) * Manage documents (review documents, proofread, bates label, organize documents, compile information for discovery responses, pleadings, and motions) * Perform factual research and investigation * Draft correspondence and memoranda for attorneys as requested * Prepare for trial (organize evidence, prepare exhibits, schedule witnesses, ensure witnesses are ready when needed) * Advanced working knowledge of E-discovery, including the technical aspects of collecting, reviewing, and producing electronically stored information (state and federal court); experience in Relativity, LiveNote, Case/Time Map, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and Trial Director a plus * Enter accurate time entries in systems such as InTapp Requirements: * 4 year bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate * 3+ years of experience in trial related matters * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills * Ability to prioritize and balance a variety of tasks * Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary Compensation: Law Firm is offering a competitive salary of $230,000 for this position. Additionally, they are offering a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote for all paralegals.
