Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible to managing cases, conducting legal research, document production, deposition and hearing preparation, preparing and serving subpoenas, witness and fact development, drafting discovery, and preparing deposition summaries, master schedules, and appeals. Other responsibilities include trial preparation, and coordinating with Litigation Support and Case Clerks on case matters. A Bachelor's Degree is required. Juris Doctor Degree is preferred. Must have 5- 10 years of law firm commercial litigation experience. Experience on the defense side of litigation cases are preferred. Required expertise in: CaseMap, Concordance, Sanction, Cite Checking, Adobe, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Westlaw and Lexis is required. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to proof read and edit for grammatical errors. Ability to conduct independent computer/Internet research, maintain a professional demeanor, exhibit excellent Microsoft Office skills and quickly learn firm specific software, and time-reporting tools. Exemplary client service and ability to work in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced deadline driven environment, prioritize demands of competing tasks and deadlines on multiple matters.
