Litigation Paralegal The candidate will independently drafting basic correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery. Handling complex filings in state, federal, and corresponding appellate courts. Working with court clerks, case managers, court coordinators, and other court staff. Identifying relevant documents in large document databases. Preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial. Attending and supporting hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial. Keeping time and maintaining billable hours. Must be competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as other basic computer software packages used regularly in litigation firms. Should have basic understanding of the use of FTP sites and electronic delivery of documents. Must have appreciation for confidentiality in handling client documents. Experience working with e-discovery desired. Experience working with attorneys to develop large volume document reviews by identifying key words and phrases to save/batch/review documents preferred. Experience working in litigation review and production databases such as IPRO Eclipse desired. Experience with producing documents from a litigation database a plus. A Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification strongly preferred.
