Litigation Paralegal The candidate will regularly review files for status and additional needs to move case forward. Will prepare pleadings (Notices of Appearance, Notice of Hearing, Motions, Affidavit of Service, Certificate of Service, etc.). Review and Prepare pleadings drafted by the attorney for filing, including collection of exhibits, preparation of certificates of service, summons, cover letters, etc. Obtain additional title information from online register of deeds, requesting additional needed documentation from client, ordering title searches, other task requests, skip traces, researching entity information as needed, etc. Ensure service is completed after complaints filed. Monitor deadlines. Assist attorney with hearing preparations. Confer with the court to schedule hearings and to obtain needed information as needed. Assist administrative staff with providing client updates as needed. Client liason (ie. buffer between client and attorney) provide client with requested information, obtain information from client, provide updates when requested from direct client contact via email. Label pleadings, title work, other documents within file. Confer with opposing counsel, title companies, code officers and other county administrative personnel, etc. regarding files. Draft title claim letters, request for reconsideration. Research local court rules, confer with clerks, etc. to ensure compliance with court expectations. Other job duties as assigned. Paralegal Certification is preferred. Must have 2 years of previous litigation experience. Should be proficient in the various client systems- LPS, Lenstar, Vendorscape, etc.
