The San Francisco office of this mid-size firm is engaged primarily in litigation and general business, although the firm boasts a solid regulatory and administrative law practice and a respectable labor/employment practice. The firm has a strong pro bono commitment; associates receive full billable hour credit for approved pro bono work and, overall, pro bono comprises 3-5% of all work. The billable hour target is 1850 and salaries are approximately 20% below market.
Junior Litigation Paralegal The candidate will prepare, organize, and manage litigation documents, including discovery, motion, expert, and trial documents. Organize and maintain case materials using traditional and electronic document management systems. E-discovery coordination and project management, including data collection, document retrieval, and production. Conduct research and gather information using general and legal research tools. Assist attorneys with local court proceedings, coordinating service of process and court filings. Assist in trial preparation. Other responsibilities as attorney and client needs dictate. should have Bachelor's degree with working knowledge of litigation procedures, court structure and court rules and regulations.
