Immigration Paralegal The candidate will be providing comprehensive corporate immigration support, including nonimmigrant visa services, lawful permanent residence and naturalization representation, I-9 compliance assistance, immigration policy consulting, and immigration-related due diligence. Serve as a critical member of a team to perform all manner of paralegal support activities concerning immigration processes and working with government agencies that are involved with immigration-based applications, including but not limited to the US Department of Homeland Security- ICE, USCIS, CBP; US Department of Labor; and US Department of State. Perform detailed drafting of immigration-related forms, organization of support documents and preparation of immigration benefit submissions in coordination and for the review of assigning/supervising JMO attorney. In coordination with assigning/supervising JMO attorney, detailed review of all manner of documents received, including but not limited to government agencies, client submissions and general related inquiries. Detailed data entry related to immigration processing benchmarks in immigration database, such as INSZoom (e.g. receipts, approvals, expiration dates for deadline tracking/monitoring, reports, etc.). Ongoing, courteous and pro-active daily client communications (telephone, email). Careful tracking and monitoring of critical deadlines and proactively identify and discuss with JMO attorneys. Communicate with government agencies to track filings and make inquiries on behalf of clients. Identify and execute improvements to our organizational and tracking systems (including electronic and hard copy files). Assist with coordination and preparation of JMO client marketing events and communications (planning, invitations, newsletters, day-of logistics), as needed. Adaptable to change and daily needs, as prompted by new matters and requests initiated by JMO attorneys. Must have High School or equivalent. Should have 2+ years of paralegal experience, including document preparation, research and drafting (e.g. forms, affidavits, support letters/briefs). Good general computer knowledge and typing skills, including word-processing, email and forms software is needed. Deadline: January 28, 2018
