Litigation Paralegal The candidate will participate as a team member and assist attorneys and other paralegals in various litigation matters by playing a key role in the work required to support the firm's clients. Provide support to case teams in all aspects of litigation through trial and the appeal process. Coordinate paper and electronic document collections, reviews and productions. Create and maintain organizational systems for discovery phase of litigation, including, but not limited to, document collection, review and production tracking logs, privilege logs, deposition material, and exhibit logs. Assemble exhibits and appendices for court papers, depositions and trials. Maintain case file and workroom organizational systems. Assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials. Assist in preparation of materials for Expert Witness review and analysis. Understand database concepts and terminology. Assist and coordinate automated litigation support projects through utilization of technology. Analyze and review various documents as required by lawyers. Prepare documents, such as statistical charts and graphs. Perform litigation due diligence searches, obtain docket sheets and other court papers utilizing electronic means such as PACER. Utilize legal research software such as Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis for case retrieval and citation reference. Prior experience with Relativity or comparable software required. Comply with department and firm administrative procedures and policies. Assist with department projects as needed and perform other work-related duties. Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate is required. Should preferably have 7-10 years or more litigation experience.
