Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible to assist with litigation and creditor rights matters. Assist in multiple practice areas including product liability, transactions, bankruptcy, contract disputes, and environmental matters. Practice case management skills to shepherd cases from inception through discovery, pretrial motions, and trial. Assist with the maintenance of attorney calendars by scheduling and preparing for meetings and appointments. Prepare and assemble materials, documents, and exhibits for meetings, court appearances and hearings. Interface directly with clients to collect documents and schedule meetings. Draft correspondence and other legal documents including routine motions, proposed orders and discovery requests and responses. File pleadings in state and federal court. Docket and manage case deadlines. Maintain conflicts database. Review and organize case files. Answer and direct inquiries from walk-in guests and telephone callers. Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries as needed. Complete errands out of office as needed. Maintain client confidence by keeping attorney-client information confidential. The candidate must have completion of Associates or Bachelor degree program. Paralegal experience for 2 years is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is necessary. Must have friendly demeanor and confidence interacting with clients. Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines and time constraints is essential. Experience in legal field or paralegal certification or degree is strongly preferred.
