Litigation Paralegal Duties: Assist in all phases of a matter from case inception through trial, appeal, and/or resolution. Manage cases, calendars, and deadlines. Coordinate and support all phases of paper and electronic discovery process, including working closely with our e-discovery litigation support analyst to coordinate collection, processing, production, review, and management of ESI. Prepare for depositions, including coordinating logistics and transcripts and preparation of witness files, exhibits, notices and subpoenas, and deposition summaries. Assist with and prepare for meetings with clients, witnesses, experts, and outside counsel. Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including management of war room(s), preparation of witness files, management of exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial (hot seating), as needed. Prepare documents for filing with courts, agencies, and arbitrations or mediations, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, conforming citations to the Bluebook and/or court rules, proofreading, assembling exhibits and appendices, generating tables of contents and authorities, and submitting electronic court filings. Perform a breadth of substantive factual research and analytical work. Mentor junior paralegals. Qualifications: bachelor's degree required, Paralegal certificate preferred. 4+ years' relevant experience in litigation. Expertise in all stages of litigation process. Strong written and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented, proactive, strong analytical abilities, and resourcefulness Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks with changing priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledgeable regarding document management and review software, including Relativity and/or iPro Eclipse SE and TrialDirector. Proven ability to work well in teams, and to develop and maintain quality relationships with staff, lawyers, clients, and vendors.
