Paralegal - Real Estate Duties: Assist the Mixed-Use, Condominium and Multifamily Development Practice Groups. Will be handling a range research and administrative tasks. Will undertake a range of tasks and responsibilities that facilitate and coordinate the activities of the practice group. Assisting attorneys with research, drafting documents; compiling and organizing documentation for filing with the requisite government agencies for land use/zoning approvals and condominium and other common interest developments; monitoring legislative and master plan actions in various jurisdictions; preparing property summaries related to zoning and subdivision status; maintaining a calendar of relevant dates; recording documents and handling the process for the approval and recordation of plats in DC and other jurisdictions; and conducting review of newly enacted legislation for client summaries. Qualifications: 2+ years of prior law firm experience, college degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred. Prior experience with condominium development and associations, title and survey review, and entity formation are plusses. Ability to organize multiple projects is required. Excellent writing, technical, interpersonal, research and organization skills are essential to be successful in this position. Must have a proven track record of being able to multi-task, communicate effectively and meet deliverables. must be organized, flexible, able to juggle multiple assignments, and enjoy the challenges of working with various attorneys within the firm as well as government agencies in the District, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
