Litigation Paralegal Duties : The candidate shall include creating and editing correspondence and legal documents including pleadings and discovery. Research using the internet and Westlaw, client billing and light general bookkeeping, conducting potential new client intakes; record requests, maintaining contact with clients to ensure proper case development and good communications; witness interviews, contact with Court and opposing counsel, preparing attorney for mediations, hearings, depositions, and trials, ordering supplies, filing, and maintaining office calendars, and general office duties for the professional operation of a law firm. Requirements : The candidate are candidates with a four year college degree or 2 year associate degree in paralegal studies and/or professional certification, and experience in Plaintiff personal injury law. Certified Legal Assistant or Paralegal Certificate The candidate shall have 2-5 years of paralegal experience. Should have experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and be generally tech savvy with some math skills, and general legal office management programs. Experience with PCLaw a plus. Some office management experience also preferred. Must be a highly motivated self-starter with ability to analyze problems and operate independently with substantial multitasking. Firm is not unusually stressful for litigation practice, but days can get hectic.
