Drafts open and third party records requests, pleadings, discovery, memorandums, settlement agreements, production indices and other documents. Analyzes and summarizes client documents, third party records, depositions, pleadings, discovery and document production. Performs background checks and witness searches, occasional legal research, verdict searches and writ histories. Assembles exhibits to pleadings, potential deposition exhibits and trial exhibits, including creating demonstratives. Schedules depositions, mediations, meetings, witness preparation, hearings and trial settings. Coordinates electronic discovery uploads and production of same, trial/arbitration logistics, expert witness retention and electronic transfer of files from clients. Prepares document production, damages analyses, litigation budgets and documents for witness preparation. Attends trial/arbitration and assists with electronic presentation of evidence with TrialDirector, witness coordination and other necessary logistics. May file pleadings and serve same, as well as discovery. Enters billing into Firm system in a timely manner. The candidate should have a Paralegal certification/degree from accredited college or university. Must have 6+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice. Must have experience with trial preparation software, including TrialDirector. Experience in preparing attorneys for trials, arbitrations and mediations with little or no supervision is needed. Must have experience preparing subpoenas (including calculation of all deadlines) and privilege logs. Should be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), PACER, Lexis, Westlaw, LiveNote, CaseMap, TrialDirector, Relativity, Document Management System, expense and billing systems.
