Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will draft, review, and edit varying documents such as letters, contracts of sale, riders, amendments, resolutions, closing statements, closing cost estimates, transfers, closing binders, lease, lease riders, extensions, deal sheets, and loan commitments. Review and perform due diligence on condominium/cooperative purchases. Order title, lien searches, payoff letters, assignment, and collateral documents. Review and markup title reports and/or lien searches and submit the necessary documentation to obtain Title Clearance. Provide attorneys with general administrative support including drafting fee quotes and letters of engagements, calendaring meetings, scheduling and coordinating closings, requesting funds, submitting check requests, sending and receiving invoices, preparing documents for closings, and process post-closing paperwork. Draft corporate formation documents, resolutions, and other basic corporate documents for domestic and foreign corporations and foundations. Prepare transactional board consents, officer certificates, and other ancillary documents. Assist with corporate, bank, and tax due diligence and compliance. Prepare and file IRS forms, estate planning documents, and court forms. A Bachelor's degree is required. Should preferably have 6+ years of experience supporting real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing. Spanish and/or Portuguese is needed. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, ACRIS, NYC Department of Buildings website, and NYC Department of Finance website is required. Detail-oriented team player with excellent organizational, time management, and administrative skills who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills are essential. Proven ability to lead a project from start to finish, including maintaining constant communication with clients, advisors, and colleagues. Deep understanding of real estate acquisitions and sales, leases and lease extensions, and property management. Strong experience in title insurance, 1031/reverse-1031 exchanges, and FIRPTA withholding is preferred. Must be flexible and able to multitask and prioritize work in an efficient manner.
