Heller Ehrman Lays Off All Staff
Heller Ehrman has laid off all of its staff, or will do so soon as the firm dissolves. The firm has promised, however, to try to find work for all of its employees, including staffers.
London Lehman Legal Staff Jobs Saved
Legal staff at the London office of Lehman Brothers were expecting to be laid off quite quickly, but with the purchase by Nomura of Lehman's investment and equity divisions, that fate has been put off for a while, at least.
Calls for More Legal Staff Retreats
While attorneys seem to get all the good law firm retreats, there are growing calls for more legal staff retreats — with no lawyers. This is being promoted as a way to get genuine feedback without fear of lawyer retribution. LexThink, among others, is promoting this idea.
