Women Paralegals Paid Less Than Male Paralegals
A new survey shows that male paralegals are paid more than their female counterparts; women make only 92% of what the men do. This is unusual since this field started out almost exclusively female.
New Paralegal Book Out
A new paralegal book by Anita Hawroth, RP, and Lesley Cox, RP, has just come out. The book is called The Paralegals Handbook: A Complete Reference for All Your Daily Tasks. The book covers such issues as fact checking, discovery, trial preparations, and so forth.
Indiana Supreme Court Rejects Voluntary Paralegal Regulation
The Indiana Supreme Court has rejected a proposed Rule 2.2, which would have included the voluntary regulation of paralegals. This comes as a blow to paralegals wishing to be recognized as professionals.
